FOXP3 belongs to the Forkhead box family and is a major transcription factor. Studies have shown that overexpression of FOXP3 in Jurkat cells can interact with NFAT or NF-κB by competing to bind with NFAT or as a transcriptional inhibitory factor of the IL-2 promoter. In humans, upregulation of FOXP3 expression is observed in all activated T cells. FOXP3 is essential for the development and function of naturally occurring Treg cells and is involved in controlling the molecular mechanisms of immune tolerance.
Genomeditech H_FOXP3-Promoter Reporter Jurkat Cell Line integrates the human FOXP3 promoter luciferase reporter gene stably into the genome of Jurkat cells. When the upstream signaling pathway is activated, the human FOXP3 promoter activates the expression of luciferase. The luciferase reading represents the activation effect of the signaling pathway and can be used for related pathway studies.
