Description

Thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) is a protein of the cytokine family that plays a crucial role in the maturation of T cell populations by activating antigen-presenting cells. TSLP is primarily produced by non-hematopoietic cells such as fibroblasts, epithelial cells, and various types of stromal or stromal-like cells. TSLP forms a trimeric signaling complex with the thymic stromal lymphopoietin receptor CRLF2 (TSLPR) and IL-7Rα chain, which activates downstream signals.

The H_TSLP Reporter Cell Line from Genomeditech is a luciferase reporter cell line. Upon binding of TSLP to TSLPR, dimerization enhances the recruitment of IL-7Rα, forming an extracellular trimeric complex that activates downstream signals, leading to the expression of luciferase. Luciferase readings reflect the activation effect of the signaling pathway and can therefore be used for evaluating the in vitro effects of TSLP-related drugs.
