Description CD8α is an important cell marker primarily associated with T lymphocytes and their subsets, particularly CD8+ cytotoxic T cells (CTLs). CD8α combines with the CD8β chain to form the CD8 complex, which acts as a co-stimulatory molecule, enhancing the interaction between T cells and antigen-presenting cells.
