Background

The APJ gene (AdipoQ/P2Y receptor-related G protein-coupled receptor) is an important gene closely associated with various biological processes. The G protein-coupled receptor encoded by this gene plays a significant role in multiple biological functions, including the cardiovascular system, metabolic regulation, as well as cell proliferation and survival. In addition, studies have shown that the APJ receptor plays a crucial role in regulating cardiac function and blood pressure, and its activation may offer protection against cardiovascular diseases.
