Background |
The Interleukin-1 alpha gene, located on chromosome 2, encodes the Interleukin-1 alpha protein and belongs to MedlinePlus, a member of the IL-1 cytokine family. The IL1A gene encodes il-1α, a key molecule linking innate and adaptive immunity, which plays a central role in inflammation and tumorigenesis. Vilamakitug (XB-2001) is a human igg4κ monoclonal antibody against il-1α, which provides a new therapeutic option for il-1α-related diseases, especially in the treatment of purulent hidradenitis and pancreatic cancer. |
