Background |
Trem1(myeloid cell triggering receptor 1) , a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, is localized to human chromosome 6 and is mainly expressed on the surface of myeloid cells, such as neutrophil, monocyte, and macrophage, and is not expressed on the surface of myeloid cells, it plays a key role in infection, sterile inflammation (such as myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury) , and the tumor microenvironment, promoting proinflammatory cytokine release by amplifying inflammatory signals, and promoting the release of inflammatory cytokines, it is closely related to graft dysfunction, autoimmune diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease, and cancer progression. Its soluble form STREM1 can be used as a biomarker of infection or inflammation to assist early diagnosis and prognostic evaluation. |
