Background The CMKLR1(chemorin chemokine-like receptor 1) gene, a protein-coding gene that encodes a g-protein-coupled receptor, is located in the Q23.3 region of human chromosome 12, its encoded receptor protein (CHEMR23) is not only a key receptor for the adipokines chemerin/RARRES2 and the OMEGA-3 fatty acid-derived molecule Resolvin E 1, but also a key receptor for the omega-3 fatty acid derived molecule resolvin E 1, it is also involved in the regulation of macrophage chemotaxis, calcium signaling and NF-KAPPAB transcription factor activity.
